Investor with Intelligence

Not smarter tools.
Better judgment.

Project-01 was not built to replace the investor. It was built to remove every constraint that was preventing them from being exceptional.

The actual problem

The gap between institutional and individual investors is not a gap in intelligence. It is a gap in infrastructure.

A portfolio manager at a serious fund arrives at a decision with months of synthesized research already done. Every material signal surfaced. Every comparable already run. Every risk already stress-tested. Their job, at the moment of decision, is to read the synthesis and decide.

A self-directed investor opens a browser tab and starts from scratch. Same intelligence. A fraction of the infrastructure. Predictably worse outcomes.

The tools available to individuals today were built either for the mass market (simple, shallow, designed to keep you engaged rather than informed) or for the institutional desk. Bloomberg Terminal costs $24,000 a year. It has since it launched in 1982, which is also, roughly speaking, the last time anyone described its interface as contemporary. It was built for a trading floor that no longer exists, by people who had no particular reason to imagine that someday an individual might want the same intelligence. Neither was built for the serious investor who wants to make decisions the right way but simply lacks the infrastructure to do it.

The principle

The best investors do not need more information.
They need fewer blind spots.

Buffett, Lynch, Ackman. None of them succeeded because they had access to information no one else had. They succeeded because they had frameworks sharp enough to know what mattered, discipline sharp enough to act on it, and the absence of the noise that sends everyone else in the wrong direction.

Remove the research bottleneck, and decision quality increases. Remove the signal noise, and conviction becomes possible. Add a systematic framework that enforces discipline when emotion would undermine it, and something remarkable happens: the serious investor stops being limited by their infrastructure and starts being limited only by their judgment.

That is what we mean by Investor with Intelligence. Not augmented by a machine. Freed from the constraints that were keeping them ordinary.

What we built

Three modes. One coherent system.

TERMINAL

Institutional-grade research. One screen.

Every data point a serious investor needs: price action, options flow, insider activity, peer comparison, fundamental verdict, live tape. Surfaced together, in the right order, without the noise. The most important number is findable in under four seconds. No tabs. No digging.

STRATEGY

Define exactly what you will do. And what you will not.

Your universe. Your entry and exit conditions. Hard limits on position sizing, drawdown, sector concentration, and blackout periods. The system executes within those constraints and nothing outside them. A strict simulation-to-paper-to-live promotion gate means you watch it work before it risks real capital.

COCKPIT

Watch every decision unfold in real time.

When the system is live, Cockpit is mission control: open positions, agent activity, risk guardrail status, every decision made and the reasoning behind it. Not a black box. A glass box. You remain fully in command.

The opportunity

A serious segment that has never been properly equipped.

The addressable market is not retail investors dabbling in index funds. It is the subset who already invest seriously: who read earnings transcripts, who have opinions on multiples, who are managing meaningful personal capital and feel the weight of doing it with worse tools than the professionals they compete against. That is a large, underserved, and paying segment.

Who this is for

Not for everyone. Deliberately.

This is for the investor who reads annual reports on weekends. Who has a view on a company and wants the infrastructure to pressure-test it. Who is tired of tools that make them feel like a spectator in their own portfolio.

01Serious self-directed investors who want to think at the level of a professional without needing a professional's firm behind them.
02Family offices and independent advisors who need research depth without six-figure data contracts.
03Disciplined investors who want their conviction confirmed or challenged by a system that shows every step of its reasoning.

If your edge is patience and judgment, this accelerates your research. If your edge is systematic discipline, this gives you the infrastructure to enforce it at scale. If your edge is knowing businesses deeply, this surfaces what you would otherwise miss.

Where we are

Early. Deliberate. Building with intention.

The terminal you are looking at is v0.3.8, built deliberately, version by version. The research infrastructure is live. The trading engine connects to Alpaca. The interface is what you see here: built to the standard a serious investor would hold it to.

What comes next: user accounts with persistent strategies, a learning engine that improves with every decision made, an Intelligence Report that synthesizes months of research into a document you can act on the same day. None of these are moonshots. Each is the next logical step on a clear path.

The terminal is live. The conversation is open.

If you are the kind of investor this was built for, or the kind of builder who sees what this can become: start with the terminal. Reach out if you want to talk about the rest.
